TPO applications can be virtualized using VMWare ESX and are available as an OVA file. Virtual machine requirements should at least match the physical server ones, and network bandwidth, CPU bandwidth and RAM reservations are mandatory.
Winpcap must be installed prior to TPO installation.
vcredist_x64.exe (Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable) must be installed prior to TPO package installation.
Microsoft .NET framework version 2.0 redistributable package must be installed prior to TPO package installation.
On windows server 2012 and after, be sure that UAC are disabled before installing any package to avoid a security issue during installation.
This procedure should only be used when the TPO Virtual Appliance cannot be deployed on a VMWare server. This procedure requires a server with sufficient amount of resources and a Windows operating system running. The installation of the TPO packages must be performed manually.
If TSS has not been installed through Virtual Appliance and TSS firmware upgrade, administrator need to upload at least one TPO bootstrap and one TPO Firmware version on the TSS. This way, when the TPO will start, it will first check whether it has to upgrade itself.
It is very important to have a coherent version on TSS and the one installed on the physical server. If not, it can lead to unexpected version uploaded on TPO.
TPO Ugrades procedures are described here: Manage TPO Bootstrap upgrade and Manage TPO Firmware upgrade.
