Step 3.1 – Using the TPO Virtual Appliance on ESXi

Top  Previous  Next
Solution Installation > TPO Installation > Step 3 – Install TPO runtime

The TPO Virtual Appliance is a pre-configured Virtual Machine that hosts the TPO software. It has been developed in attempt to bring an effective and fast response to the TPO installation process. The TPO Virtual Appliance should be preferred to the installation of the TPO on an existing server. This procedure is faster, simpler and more efficient.

Before you proceed, the TPO Virtual Appliance come with a default version which is perhaps not the one you wish to install.

If TSS has not been installed through TSS firmware upgrade then it  does not contain any TPO firmware. Administrator need to upload at least one TPO bootstrap and one TPO Firmware version on the TSS. This way, when the TPO VA will start, it will first check whether it has to upgrade itself.

TPO Ugrades procedures are described here Manage TPO Bootstrap upgrade and Manage TPO Firmware upgrade.
