Step 3 – Install TPO runtime

Solution Installation > TPO Installation

TPO  firmware can be installed using 2 distinct options:

•By deploying the TPO Virtual Appliance, a pre-configured virtual machine that hosts the TPO software. This procedure is the fastest and easiest way to setup a TPO. This requires a VMWare Virtual Machine server with some available resources (in terms of hard disk space, memory space and CPU bandwidth). The installation procedure brings a ready-state operating system with the TPO software pre-installed on it. The host operating system is minimal but still allows you to configure critical elements like TPO IP address.

•By installing TPO packages on a standard server of your choice. This procedure should only be used if the TPO Virtual Appliance cannot be deployed. This allows you to choose the server designated to host the TPO. It can be either a physical server or a virtual one. While this procedure gives you the choice of the resources allowed to the TPO, it take much time to complete.
