On an already created DMR AIS Gateway, talk groups are configured under the "Talk Groups" tab.

DMRAIS_Gateway_TalkGroups

The TPO needs to register to talk groups to be able to receive incoming notifications, create new radio calls on the group, or make push-to-talk (PTT) requests on the group through the DMR radio system.

In place configuration, talk groups are assigned to slots. One talk group can only be associated to one slot.

Configuration

DMRAIS_Gateway_TalkGroups_conf

•Label : The label of the talk group. This label is used in the DMR AIS SIP signaling between the TPO and the radio system. This label is also shown on the turret UI when the group is monitored (see setting "application.setting.dmrais.use.slot.label").

•SIP Identity : The identity of the talk group. This numeric value must match the configuration in the DMR AIS radio node. The TPO registers to the talk group using this SIP identity.

•Type : The conversation mode of the talk group. 3 different conversation modes are available. This configuration must match the configuration of the DMR AIS radio node. Some conversation modes are unsupported by some DMR AIS systems.

oPer-Over : The session persists for the duration of a single speech over (PTT). This provides a transmission trunking call model.

oPer-Conversation : The session persists for a period of time but may terminate eventually (for example on expiry of an inactivity timer). This provides a message trunking call model.

oPermanent : The session persists indefinitely. This provides an open channel call model.
