Introduction

This section describes how to install a new version of the software on a fresh system by using SQL/MySQL replication.

Redundancy and replication

Redundancy can be used to connect several TSS/Console instance (maximum 6) to one database. Replication is used to connect TSS/Console on another database where data are replicated. Each TSS/Console instance will use his own range of uid.

Here is a brief description of different configurations available:

•Redundancy/replication: Several TSS/Console instances are connected to one database or you are using SQL replication (2 databases).

oFirst TSS/Console instance:  Select 'Type=New database' and 'No of TSS/Console = 2 to 6' (this is determine by number of TSS/Console instance connected to the database).

oFollowing instance: Select 'Type=Existing database' and 'No of TSS/Console = 2 to 6' (this is determine by TSS/Console instance number currently installed.  If a number has been used during previous instance it cannot be chosen anymore).
