Maintenance Plan

Introduction

This section describes how to configure maintenance when using Microsoft SQL Replication.

Primary server

Please refer to Database maintenance chapter to create maintenance plan.

Secondary Server

Please refer to Database maintenance chapter to create maintenance plan.

No backup is done on secondary server – as backup maintenance plan is configured on primary server.  

Do not include following steps for secondary server maintenance plan:

•Maintenance plan maintenance: Clear old items.

•Maintenance plan backup: Back-up once

•Maintenance plan backup: Clean up

•Maintenance plan backup: Recurring backup

This maintenance plan shall be configured to run every day at 1:30:00.
