The cross-talk feature allows a more experienced trader to supervise a rookie trader, by jumping in one of the rookie's active calls.

Cross-talk indeed allows to duplicate a DDI call on a turret, and thus to have two distinct calls to the same DDI slot, each one hosted on a different audio device on the turret.
