Example 2 |
|
| Trading and C&C > Turret Proxy To Open communication (TPO) > Conference Modes > Usage |
While the first example is interesting to understand how the feature works, the same result could be achieved by separating the turrets into two distinct Geographic Groups, no matter the position of each turret inside each group.
This example goes a little further.
Imagine three traders, each in a different room.
As rooms are close to each other, each trader can hear the one just next to him, but not the third trader. So Trader1 only hears Trader2, Trader3 only hears Trader2, and Trader2 can hear both Trader1 and Trader3.
The situation cannot be solved simply by assigning a different Geographic Group to each trader.
The solution is then to put every trader in the same Geographic Group, position them properly and define a proximity limit to the correct value. Here, traders are placed two units away from each other, in line, and the proximity limit is set to 3 units.
Trader1 only hears Trader3 in the call
Trader3 only hears Trader1 in the call
Trader2 does not hear Trader1 nor Trader3 in the call
