Shared DDI lines can be part of pickup group(s) configured in IP PBX switch and enable traders to intercept a call which is ringing on a PBX phone belonging to the same pickup group.

Pickup/group pickup feature requires the shared DDI line which is part of the pickup group to be also the default line on the handset.

The external party places a call to the PBX phone which is part of the same pickup group than the shared DDI line #3061.

The PBX phone starts ringing.  Note that no visual or audio notification is provided on the turret.

TraderA must press the Pickup/Group pickup button on the handset to intercept the call and redirect the calling party to its own extension.

Once established, the call is shown on the first available DDI slot associated to the shared DDI line.
