Traders have the ability to transfer calls on the shared DDI line to any distant party.  To initiate a transfer sequence, the call must be active on one handset.  The procedure operations is then similar than the one followed for a basic call.  The transfer can be managed only by one trader; the ability for other traders to act on the call is then removed for the duration of the transfer sequence.

TraderA and TraderB are on a call with an external party.

TraderA initiates the transfer sequence by pressing the Transfer button in handset control panel.

On both TraderA and TraderB, the DDI slot key is locked and the speech path to the distant end is suspended.

The distant end hears the music-on-hold if configured on IP PBX switch

TraderA’s handset is ready for placing a new call.

TraderA initiates a call to the party to whom the extension 0480770702 should be transferred to.

This results in a second DDI slot to be allocated for this consultative call.  The corresponding DDI slot key on both turrets gives the out-bound call notification and shows the identity of the called party.

Once the call has been accepted, the speech path is established between TraderA and the extension 04360480.  The new call appearance is visible on the DDI slot keys of both traders.

TraderA must press the Transfer button in the handset control panel again.

Upon completion of the transfer, the speech path is established between external extensions and SSI lot keys return idle.

Note

(1)As per normal transfer scenarios, shared DDI lines allow traders to perform multiple consultative calls before effectively transferring the call.  Resuming initial call is also possible by pressing the Resume button in the handset control panel when no consultative call is under progress.

(2)TraderB has the capability to join the consultative call(s) as well by pressing the DDI slot key either when the call is ringing or established.

(3)At any time, the extension 0480770702 can decide to leave the call. The immediate result is that the on-going transfer sequence is aborted as well and the DDI slot allocated to this call is released.

(4)Unattended transfer need to be setup in an monitored way
