Active recording from turrets
IT & voice administrators should preferably consider using active method for recording shared DDI lines from turrets. The table below gives the interactions between the turret and the voice recording system for the different call scenarios.
New call (in-bound/out-bound)
A new recording is started with the following attributes: the trader identifier, the shared DDI line extension and the distant party phone number.
The recording includes voices of the trader’s and of the distant party.
Join a call
A new recording is started with the following attributes: the trader identifier, the shared DDI line extension and the distant party phone number.
If the conference mode on the shared DDI line is set to All, the recording contains voices of all traders who are speaking on the line and of the distant party.
If conference mode is set to MasterOnly, the recording contains voices of the trader who joined the line and of the distant party.
Leave a call
The recording session is closed.
Call terminated by the distant end
Recording sessions opened by traders who were talking on the line are closed.
Hold a call
Recording sessions opened by traders who were talking on the line are closed.
Resume a call
A new recording is started with the following attributes: the trader identifier, the shared DDI line extension and the distant party phone number.
Consultative transfer
The transfer sequence starts by closing all recording sessions for traders who were talking on the line.
From the turret of the trader who initiates the transfer, a session is opened to record the consultative calls (one distinct recording for each call). Recording the consultative call stops once the transfer operation has been confirmed.
Resuming the call to the initial party opens a new recording session.
Distant end hold the call
The recording continues. It includes voices of the traders connected on the slot and Music On Hold (if traders listen to it)
Distant end resume the call
The recording continues. It includes voices of the traders connected on the slot and voice of the remote party.
Active recording on TPO
The TPO service support IPTrade active protocol for voice calls recording.
Passive recording
Passively recording voice calls established between turrets and TPO using shared DDI lines is not recommended since call flows implemented between the two systems do not comply with the standard SIP.
Passively recording voice calls established between shared DDI extensions on the TPO and the distant parties is supported. However, this approach leads to the some limitations
·The VR must support recording multiple call appearances opened on a single IP PBX extension; ·CTI data captured by the VR only contain information about the shared DDI line extension and the distant party; identity of the trader(s) who were on the line is not stored. ·The recording mixes the voice of all traders who were on the line with the distant party; there is no indication regarding who is talking on the line. |
