The DDI slot bridging feature allows users to have a "global" conference between the calls hosted on different slots. These slots can even belong to different lines, and be hosted on different TPOs.

The bridging operation can be seen as linking two or more slots with a wire (a bridge) so that speech path is connected between them. The slots - and their calls - remain in the same state, which is what differs from slot conferencing.
