Configuration file

Introduction

This topic discuss about configuration of TSS and Console application : web.config

This file is stored on root direction of each application.

Connection String

<connectionStrings>

 <add name="DatabaseConnection" connectionString="db://[IP_ADDRESS]/?driver=[DBMS];db=[DATABASE];user=[USER];password=[PASSWORD]"/>

</connectionStrings>

where :

•[IP_ADDRESS] : IP address of database server

•[DBMS] : Database Management System used. Can have on of following value:

 - SQL Server: Microsoft SQL Server driver is used

 - mySQL: MySQL driver is used

•[DATABASE] : name of database used

•[USER] : name of SQL user used to connect to database

•[PASSWORD] : password of SQL user

Note that if SQL Server is using instance web.config can specify instance name.

Settings

 <add key="EventThreshold" value="0"/>

 <add key="RangeUId" value="primary"/>

</appSettings>

where :

•EventThreshold : if superior to 0, number of seconds where events are flushed. If equal to 0, events are flushed directly.

•RangeUId: define the nature of the server for replication. Can have one of following value:

 - undefined: replication is not used

 - primary: server is used as primary server for replication

 - secondary: server is used as secondary server for replication
