Connection String

Introduction

This section gives indication when cannot access TSS/Console application when changing connection string

Cannot access TSS/Console when IP address is specified

When specifying IP address in connection string (rather than localhost) TSS/Console application cannot be accessed anymore.

In this context we consider 'root' user is used. By default 'root' user

This kind of configuration can encountered in context of replication configuration.

To solve this problem new user 'root' must be created with % permission.

•Open MySQL Workbench

•Click on Manage Security link

•Press button Add Account

•Enter following information :

 - Login name: root

 - Limit Connectivity to Hosts Matching: %        

 - Password: Your_password (same used in web.config)

 - Confirm Password: Your_password (same used in web.config)

•Press tab Administrative Roles tab

 - Select all roles

•Press button Add Account to validate.
