Connection and radio state

Connecting to the radio slot is done by opening the DDI call, pressing on the DDI slot shortcut associated to the radio channel.

An Instant-connect radio call is identified by the radio signal icon in the left part of the monitor entry. Here, the radio channel state is connected, and nobody currently speaks on the channel.

Here is the icon displayed when the radio channel state is not connected:

So an Instant-connect radio call will always be in one of these two states.
