Authorize Text messaging This setting, under license, is mandatory. It enables the whole Text Messaging feature, and can only be set in the user's profile on the administration console.
Text messaging mode This setting has to be set to instant-connect in order to enable the radio messages system.
Additional options Short messages These settings specify the list of short messages available. This list is accessible when composing a new message, and also when receiving a short message. These settings are dynamically configured:
... Where XXX is the id of the message, starting at 0. Example: profile.setting.textmessaging.shortmessage.0 = This is the first message.<CR>A freely configurable message that has an ID associated. profile.setting.textmessaging.shortmessage.1 = This is the second message.<CR>A freely configurable message that has an ID associated. profile.setting.textmessaging.shortmessage.2 = This is the third message.<CR>A freely configurable message that has an ID associated. profile.setting.textmessaging.shortmessage.3 = This is the fourth message.<CR>A freely configurable message that has an ID associated.
A new line can be specified by inserting <CR>. Radio Message default short message This setting defines the ID of the message that is automatically selected when composing a new message, or replying to a message.
Audio alert upon message arrival This option instructs the system to play a tone whenever new messages are delivered. The one is played on the default loudspeaker and is selected from the user's ring tone set (event Established notification).
Keyboard selection This option specifies whether the virtual keyboard is displayed when typing in the text messages body. If the operator uses an external USB keyboard, this option can be disabled
Visual alert upon message arrival This option defines how many times the text messaging button in the programmable button bar flashes upon detection of a new text message.
-1 = Button remains idle; 0 = Button background goes orange until user presses the button; +n = Flash count
