| Audio Processing > Volumes > Volume Control over TPO |
External lines (Private wires or PSTN) may have some volume issue which affect the global quality of the trading platform.
The built-in volume control of TPO allows to improve the sound quality.
Principle: TPO proceeds an amplification or a reduction of the input stream signal. Thereby, the output signal which is a mix of the input signals is increased/decreased.
Context: Calls are established between Trader1, Trader2 and the Broker by using a DDI line; Trader1, Trader2 and Broker can speak and hear each other.
The output stream R_OUT is the mix of input streams C1_IN and C2_IN.
The output stream C2_OUT is the mix of input streams C1_IN and R_IN.
The output stream C1_OUT is the mix of input streams C2_IN and R_IN.
# Case 1: Trader1 and Trader2 complaint that they can properly not hear the broker because the sound is too low.
By amplifying the input stream R_IN, C1_OUT and C2_OUT volume is also raised; Then Trader1 and Trader 2 can properly hear the Broker
# Case 2: The Broker complaints that he can properly not hear Trader1 because the sound is too low.
By amplifying the input stream C1_IN, R_OUT and C2_OUT volume is also raised. Then the Broker can properly hear Trader1;
Notice that Trader2 hear an amplified sound. |
