The call state symbol is an additional information which can be activated on shortcut keys. A symbol will be added on the shortcut to reflect the following states:

•Ringing state symbolized by a "R"

•Incoming (and not ringing) state symbolized by a "I"

•Held state symbolized by a "H"

•Established state symbolized by a "E"

•Outgoing state symbolized by a "O"

•Subscribed state symbolized by a "S"

•Monitored state symbolized by a "M"

The availability of the last six states are aimed for color blind users. They offer a redundant information provided by the color and the blinking of a shortcut.

The special Subscribed and Monitored state disambiguation are displayed on DDI slot shortcuts to provide information about the line's subscription there are linked to.

The call state symbol is also available to display only the Ringing state. It is meant to offer a disambiguation between multiple incoming calls and allow to identify quickly which call is currently ringing.

This scenario illustrates how a trader can handle conflict between two incoming calls while using DDI Lines Coverage.

The scenario assumes the following configuration:

•Trader registered a DDI Line (DDI1) in Subscribed mode.

•Trader registered a DDI Line (DDI2) in Monitored mode and configured a ring tone delay of 10 seconds in this mode.

•The call state disambiguation setting  (profile.setting.call.disambiguation.mode) is set to "ringing".

Scenario:

•Trader receives a call on DDI1 and begins immediately to ring. The associated shortcut blinks orange and a "R" symbol is displayed.

•Trader receives in the same time a call on DDI2. The call does not ring. Its associated shortcut blinks orange with no symbol.

•After 10 seconds, the DDI2 call begins to ring. DDI2 shortcut continues to blink orange and now display the "R" symbol to show its new status.
