General considerations Line keys reflect the state of the associated private lines terminated on the IPTrade systems. Line keys can show one of the following conditions •Idle – The private line is closed; no speech path is setup to the distant party ; •Opened – The private line is opened but is not active on the local turret ; •Active – The trader is connected to the line and the distant party can be heard on the speaker ; •Exclusive – One trader is talking on the line and has requested exclusivity ; •Signaled – The distant party has manually signaled the line (MRD circuits only) ; When a call swap to handfree device, it could be configured to public or exclusive state. See profile.setting.old.handfree.talk.mode.
Further to this, line keys can reflect also the identity of the trader who is speaking on the line: the system updates the key label and displays one of the information below depending on the selected display policy: •The trader id (only) ; •The trader extension (only); •The key label and the trader id alternatively; •The key label and the trader extension alternatively; •The trader id and trader extension alternatively; •The key label alternatively shows its label and the trader extension •CONFERENCE(n) in case of several traders have joined the line; n being replaced with the number of talkers; See option TPO line shortcut display policy (profile.setting.old.generic.displaypolicy).
Two additional options are available (1)Trader’s can also request the information to persist a few seconds on the screen after the line is put back in monitoring state – See profile.setting.talker.persistence.delay. (2)The system can be configured to avoid updating the line keys when the trader is talking on private line which is already bound to a speaker channel on the turret. – See profile.setting.talkers.include.user. |
