Cannot Drop User

Introduction

If you cannot drop SQL user and got this error message:

The database principal owns a schema in the database, and cannot be dropped.

Resolution

•Open SQL Server Management Studio

•Select proper database

•Execute these commands :

ALTER AUTHORIZATION ON SCHEMA::db_datawriter TO db_owner  

ALTER AUTHORIZATION ON SCHEMA::db_datareader TO db_owner
