Failed create database

Introduction

Let’s admit current installed version is RC71 by using UIM.

You encounter following error:

Error content:

Create failed for Database 'dbipt_rc71'.

  at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.SqlSmoObject.CreateImpl()

  at Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.Database.Create()

  at UIM.FormMain.CreateDatabase(String databaseName)

  at UIM.FormMain.bOptionNext_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

Resolution

•Go to folder Data of SQL (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA)

•Check existence of RC71 database file: dbipt_rc71.mdf and dbipt_rc71_log.ldf

•Delete both files

•Run UIM again
