Secure database connection

SQL Server

We do support TLS between TSS and Database but it is not explicitly configured within the webconfig file (so we rely on other side to require encryption)

MySQL

For MySQL 8.0, a secure connection will be established, but the TSS has no means to verify the server certificate.

Internal and external database setups mix on a same Virtual Appliance

We do not support a mix between deployments of TSS using the local VA MySQL server (internal database) and others using external databases.

Node identity unicity

The system cannot ensure that two nodes connected to the same database are not running with the same identity. It is therefore the responsibility of the administrator to ensure that this condition is met at any time.

Failing to ensure this condition will lead to applicative conflicts and prevent the system to run properly.

Database backup job policy execution

The execution of a "Database backup" job policy is not supported for TSS instances connected to an external database.
