| Trading and C&C > Turret Proxy To Open communication (TPO) > DDI Sharing > DDI Timeout Forwarding |
•A DDI line 1234 is configure with Auto Forward Incoming Delay set to 10 seconds and Auto Forward Incoming Target 6789 and A DDI line 6789 is configure with Auto Forward Incoming Delay set to 10 seconds and Auto Forward Incoming Target 1234. If no users answer on both line, call goes from one line to the other until a user answers or call goes down.
•This feature only impacts DDI Lines
•This feature is not configurable by users, only system administrators can setup forward timeout behavior through TSS administration console and DDI line properties
•Forward timeout is defined by DDI line, that means all users who subscribes to a DDI line are impacted with the DDI line forward timeout configuration
•TPO Hotbackup mechanism re-arm forward timeout on incoming calls. In other words, if timeout is configured to 10 seconds and an incoming call is ringing for 6 seconds when TPO outage occurs, backup TPO re-arm a 10 seconds timer and the calling party is going to be forwarded after 16 seconds waiting.
•There is no follow-up of forwarded call. If forward target is busy, not registered or miss-configured, call is blindly forwarded anyway. TPO doesn't follow up the call after it has been forwarded, if target state doesn't allow to properly handle the forwarded call, call terminates without notification and remote party may get busy or error tone.
•Particular forward rule: On a Ringdown dynamic place which is only configured with Ringdown type of DDI slots, if a caller which is not the defined target of these DDI Ringdown slots makes a call to the line, he will be forwarded. |
