Prerequisites

The discussion below assumes that

1.The attendant console device is properly installed and connected to the network; the embedded system administration module is activated ;

2.The attendant console device is able to register to the CUCM on which the call-waiting queue will be hosted;  a device profile – e.g. IPT100000000001 – has been allocated for the attendant console and a directory number – e.g. 3011 – has been added as primary extension for that device ;

A user account – e.g. John Smith – must have been defined for the attendant, activated on the target console and linked to the attendant console device above ;
