Recall queues for Monitored Dispatch

A specific type of call-waiting queues allows handling dispatch calls that fail to reach their target.

These Recall Queues have to be used in association with the call transfer monitoring feature. See Enterprise telephony, call transfer monitoring for more information.

Once the monitored transfer (or monitored dispatch) feature mentioned here above is enabled, the operator is able to monitor whether a transferred call is acknowledged or not and eventually to reclaim it.

The automatic recall feature completes this behavior by automatically re-dispatching a transfer call to a dedicated recall queue if:

▪The transfer call fails immediately (the target extension is not available or busy);

▪The transfer is not completed within a specified period.

Once a call has been redirected to a recall queue, it appears in the queue and provides information about the initial target of the failed dispatch:

Here, a call has arrived in the queue named AGE, from AGE 8006, and an operator initially tried to dispatch it to 1102.
