| Trading and C&C > Turret Proxy To Open communication (TPO) > SIP Private Wire |
Using a SIP Private Wire from the point of view of the user is exactly the same as any other DDI slot. Once a place is configured to use a set of lines from a SIP Private Wire Gateway, the slots are used just like any other Permanent or On Demand slot: Permanent slots (HOOT/MRD)Permanent slots are started when the place starts. Answer-only slots will accept a call from the remote party and use that, others will send an invitation right away and use the resulting call. When users join these slots, they are connected to the active call and can hear and to talk to the remote party and other users on the slot. On Demand slots (ARD)On Demand slots are only started when users try to use them. If the call is already active, the user is connected to the active call like on a permanent slot. If the TPO receives a call on this slot, it goes in ringing state and a user may connect to it to answer the call. |
