This feature allows the system to connect to SIP Private Wire carriers
Purpose
The purpose of this feature is to enable users to place and receive calls on SIP Private Wires provided by SIP PW services such as:
•IPC Connexus •Flexinet •Cadence •BT PWS •Panoptic •And many more...
Private wire vendors are migrating towards a SIP based delivery. This allows a more flexible approach compared to the physical landing of digital or analogue circuits. Sip allows for better interopability between the
General architecture

Vocabulary
SIP Private Wire
We call these connections SIP Private Wire because they're essentially private wires based on a digital secure network using SIP rather than a dedicated physical E1/T1 line.
Session Border Controller (SBC)
A Session Border Controller or SBC is a security device that can be thought of as a Voice aware firewall. Even though the SIP PW network is a closed network it is unlikely that any major bank will allow direct connection of their internal networks with the SIP PW network and so just as for data connections where a firewall is used an SBC will be used to interconnect media services from external networks to the banks internal network. The SBC can be provided by the customer or by BT when BT supply it will be an Audio Codes Virtual edition SBC.
Full details of the installation and configuration of the SBC can be found in TSS help here AudioCodes SBC Installation
SIP Private Wire Gateway
The gateway is the device that the TPO is going to use to contact the remote party.
Typically, this will be a SBC mentioned above to allow the system administrator to implement security rules on it.
SIP Private Wire Line
A line is a pair of URIs provided by the SIP Private Wire service, this pair describes a local contact and a remote contact to route calls. These numbers will be provided by the PW carrier.
Along with the URIs, the line will have one of several types (HOOT, MRD or ARD), this type determines how the master call is handled.
