Microphone Level Indicator

The microphone level indicator is found above the application display. It is used when talking back over a speaker channel on the VM8 speaker. It indicates whether your voice is being transmitted effectively:

• indicator – OFF

the microphone path is closed, for example talking back over a speaker channel is not in progress or the transmit signal level is too low (you may not be speaking loudly enough).

• indicator – Green ON

an adequate signal level is being transmitted.

• indicator – Red ON

the signal is too strong.

Note that the transmit level for the microphone can be changed – see your Platform Administrator if required.
