The LED light indicates the models and states of the foot pedal, green light for FTT100, blue light for FTT 200. Once the foot pedal is plugged in, it is ready to use. A profile configuration is needed to allow the Turret to recognize its input actions. Scan code mappingThis setting must be set for linking the Foot Pedals to the speak action (depending on which scan code the foot pedal is programmed with) :
It is highly recommended to program the foot pedal with a scan code that does not interfere with the turret / Flex application. In other words, any scan code that produces a printable text in Windows (as well as modifier keys such as SHIFT) must be avoided. Here is a non exhaustive list of available scan codes to use:
Foot Pedal BehaviorThe behavior of the Foot Pedal can be refined with this setting :
profile.setting.speaktoall.keyboard.external.pushtotalk
If set to true, the device acts as a Push-to-talk button (push down to open the microphone, release to close the microphone). If set to false, it acts as a toggle button (push and release a first time to open the microphone, push and release a second time to close the microphone).
Warning : To use foot pedal, the setting profile.setting.keyboard.external.enabled MUST be set to true.
