Installation & update

OS

The FlexPro can be installed on  Windows 10, Windows 11. 64bit OS versions only.

Hardware

Video Monitor(s): 1024 x 768 resolution display or larger; 1920 x 1080 recommended.

Firmware

Installation & update cannot be made through the TSS Console interface. Deployment may be done through manual installation procedure on windows workstation or can alternatively be made through domain group policies for massive deployment.

No stand-alone version

This product require TSS installation prior to any deployment.

Port usage conflict

FlexPro needs TCP and UDP ports 5060 to be free. If there are not, FlexPro may not place or receive any call and user would not be able to log-in.

By default FlexPro randomly pickup audio input stream UDP ports in range from 11000 to 13000. If any other application uses UDP ports in this range, FlexPro may encounter problems with RTP Input streams and user may experience issues with remote party voice.

Compatibility

The FlexPro application cannot be installed along with the FlexCom.

The FlexPro application cannot be installed along with the TPO.

Configuration

Boot configuration

Boot Setting configuration exist for FlexPro but there is no distinction between one version or another, a single FTP configuration exist although zone management exist in order to create different Boot settings.

Audio

Audio configuration cannot be managed by Boot settings (TAD.cfg), this is a pure local configuration which is dependent of connected audio devices.

The only supported audio configurations for Flex-Pro are:

•3 physical Devices are available on the PC (Mic + speaker for each Physical device)

DUAL or SINGLE Handset Layout

oHS1 = Physical Device 1

oHS2 = Physical Device 2

oMonitor = Physical Device 3

•2 physical Devices are available on the PC (Mic + Speaker for each Physical device)

SINGLE Handset Layout ONLY

oHS1 = Physical Device 1

oHS2 = Physical Device 1

oMonitor = Physical Device 2

The following audio configuration will bring unwanted audio behavior:

•1 Physical Device is available on the PC

oHS1 = Physical Device 1

oHS2 = Physical Device 1

oMonitor = Physical Device 1

Audio device association

A minimum one pair of audio devices (loudspeaker + microphone) is required before the application is started.

It means the following scenario is not supported:

Context: there is no physical sound device connected to the PC host

1. Launch  FlexPro

2. Audio option panel shown with no device available

3. Log a user on  FlexPro

4. Plug a USB audio device

5. In Audio option panel, select the USB audio device for all logical devices and validate by pressing "OK"

OS

This product does not apply any change to the local OS configuration (Firewall, Antivirus, registry keys,....). This is left to workstation administrators.

Remote support

No remote capture or remote teamviewer can be done directly on the FlexPro. This is left to workstation administrators.

Windows touchscreen configuration

The Windows touchscreen configuration may interfere with the gestures available on the FlexPro. Especially, the long-press action available on some elements inside the interface is not available if Windows is configured to interpret them specifically. To allow the long-press to work, go to Control Panel, Pen and Touch, select the Touch tab, edit the Press and hold setting and uncheck Enable press and hold for right-clicking.

Usage

Application window

The application window size depends on the physical display screen size:

•If the screen resolution width is smaller than 1366 pixels, the application window size is fixed to 1024 pixels;

•Otherwise (screen resolution width is greater than or equal to 1366 pixels), the application window size is fixed to 1366 pixels;

When window is re-sized, shortcut panels are not automatically refreshed. This may induce shortcut grid that doesn't fill the panel area or shortcuts columns hidden off the panel area. A manual refresh (e.g. by pressing the shortcut page button again) will fix the problem.

Video

Video calls or video streaming is possible but the video window cannot be moved.

Audio

The max number of simultaneous calls that a user can handle is dependant on the hardware specifications of the device.

By default its limited to 10 calls and 3 logical audio devices (2 handset and LD+Mic) and rely on audio device connected to the workstation.

With the following specs and no other applications running on the PC 24 calls on speaker can be supported:

Processor        Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-14500T   1.70 GHz

Installed RAM        16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)

System type        64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Edition        Windows 11 Pro

Version        23H2

For group shouts the setting application.sip.enable.fastmuteunmute must be set to true otherwise audio will be clipped with 24 speakers.

PC sign-on application

The PC sign-on application (TurretLoginApp.exe) cannot be used in combination with the FlexPro (i.e. on the same physical machine).

Click To Dial

The Click To Dial from Outlook plug-in cannot be used in combination with the FlexPro + XMA2 (i.e. on the same physical machine).

NIC adapter selection

Once "Remember my choice” has been activated, the only mean to get back to the original behavior is removing a particular key in a flat text configuration file (as explained in Trouble Shooting Guide).

List of connected NICs isn’t updated while pop-up window is displayed. It is built just before being displayed and are not updated with connection status updates. That means a NIC that is not connected when the list is displayed doesn’t automatically appears when user plugs the network cable. User needs to cancel application start and re-launch it.
