In order to reload LDAP shortcuts as fast as possible, the turret keeps track of all loaded shortcuts and reloads only those that have really changed. The comparison is based on two LDAP fields, called for this purpose "uniqueIdentifier" and "version".

User Settings

LDAP Unique identifier attribute
Key: profile.setting.ldap.fields.uniqueIdentifier Description: This LDAP field is used by the turret in the LDAP groups load and update, to be able to link an LDAP result with its previous value (its value retrieved during the previous update operation). It is used to uniquely identify an LDAP contact. This field must be unique in all ldap groups set on a turret. Constraint: A valid ldap field's name Related settings: LDAP Contacts Validity period (profile.setting.ldap.validity)

User Settings

LDAP Version attribute
Key: profile.setting.ldap.fields.version Description: This LDAP field is used by the turret in the LDAP groups load and update. It is used by the turret to determine if an ldap contact had been updated. The turret will compare both values and keep the most recent. Constraint: A valid ldap field's name Related settings: LDAP Contacts Validity period (profile.setting.ldap.validity)
