The time zone feature enables IT & voice administrators to set the time zone and daylight saving time parameters based on the geographical location in which turrets operate and hence control date and time values displayed in the turret user interface.
Terminology Time zone A time zone is a region on earth that has uniform standard time, also called local time. By convention, time zones compute their local time as an offset from UTC. Daylight saving time vs. standard time Daylight saving time (DST) is the practice of temporarily advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn. Standard time refers to this second period of the year. |
