Create the turret in the TSS

Before you upgrade any turret code, you may wish to add the turret into the TSS and configure its zone. This avoids having to reboot the turret to move it from the system zone into your required zone, which can be painful especially if the system zone is configured for a different version of code.

When adding a new Netrix;

•Device Identifier is the hostname of the turret, e.g. BTNetrix1234567890

•Immediate login must be set to Disabled

Note that;

•The first time the turret connects to the TSS it will reboot. This is expected.

•If you don’t add the turret into the TSS it will appear in the System zone. When you move it to the required zone, it needs to be rebooted for the setting to take effect.

•Once a turret is added, it will reboot every 15 minutes until a license is installed for it.
