Solution Installation > Netrix Installation > Upload Netrix Code to TSS

Netrix supports a fixed set of ringtones, whereas it is possible to upload custom ringtones to the TSS and download them to a T4.

To facilitate a site with both Netrix and T4, a mapping between TSS ringtones and internal Netrix ringtones was added.

This mapping is defined by the FTP Server file \Netrix\Data\tss-ringtone-map.json, which by default contains;

{

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_Chant": "Chant",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_Chase": "Chase",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_Chirp": "Chirp",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_Climbing": "Climbing",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_Falling": "Falling",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_RingRing": "Ring Ring",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_SlowRing": "Slow Ring",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_SoftWarble": "Soft Warble",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_Standard": "Standard",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_Tones123": "Tones 1-2-3",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_Tune": "Tune",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_Warble123": "Warble 1-2-3",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_Warble321": "Warble 3-2-1",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_WarbleWaa": "Warble Waa",

 "CustomNetrixRingtone_Siren": "Siren",

 "Silence": "Silence"

}

The left-hand side (attribute name) is the TSS ringtone name, and the right-hand side (attribute value) is the internal Netrix ringtone it maps to.

i.e if a new ringtone "CustomNetrixRingtone_Chant" was created on the TSS, and assigned to a ringtone set as an Incoming Call sound event, and the ringtone set assigned to a line, then when an incoming call is made, Netrix would play the internal Chant ringtone.

The ability to map TSS ringtones onto Netrix allows flexibility but at the cost of additional complexity.
