Configure a Dial Plan |

By default Netrix will support hash-end dialing (where the user needs to press # for the number to be dialed). To support en-bloc dialing (where the turret automatically makes the call when the complete number has been entered) some additional configuration is required. 1.Copy \Netrix\Data\site-dialplan.json.template to \Netrix\Data\site-dialplan.json 2.Edit \Netrix\Data\site-dialplan.json and replace a.$ACCESS_CODE$ with the digit(s) to dial to access an outside line b.$INTERNATIONAL_PREFIX$ with the digits to prefix an international call c.$COUNTRY_CODE$ with the country code of the country you are in d.$NATIONAL_PREFIX$ with the digits to prefix a national call e.$INTERNAL_EXTENSIONS$ with a digitmap representing an internal extension In addition to using digits, you can use x to represent any digit i.e. replacing $INTERNAL_EXTENSIONS$ with 1xxx means internal extensions are 4 digits long and start with a 1 It is also possible to provide a list of alternative separated by | i.e. replacing $INTERNAL_EXTENSIONS$ with 1xxx|2xxxx means internal extensions either start with a 1 and 4 digits long or start with a 2 and are 5 digits long 3.The Netrix must be rebooted so they download the new dial plan. Worked example for a UK installationTo create a dial plan for a UK site; •where the user dials 9 to access an outside line •which has internal extensions which start with 2 and are 4 digits long 1.We copy \Netrix\Data\site-dialplan.json.template to \Netrix\Data\site-dialplan.json which contains;
{ "macros": { "default-dial-plan": { "digitMaps": { "+": "international", "$ACCESS_CODE$": "external-dial-plan", "$INTERNAL_EXTENSIONS$": null } }, "external-dial-plan": { "digitMaps": { "$INTERNATIONAL_PREFIX$": "international", "$NATIONAL_PREFIX$": "$COUNTRY_CODE$-national", "112|911|999": null } } } }
2.We edit \Netrix\Data\site-dialplan.json make the following replacements; a.$ACCESS_CODE$ -> 9 b.$INTERNATIONAL_PREFIX$ -> 00 c.$COUNTRY_CODE$ -> 44 d.$NATIONAL_PREFIX$ -> 0 e.$INTERNAL_EXTENSIONS$ -> 2xxx \Netrix\Data\site-dialplan.json now contains
{ "macros": { "default-dial-plan": { "digitMaps": { "+": "international", "9": "external-dial-plan", "2xxx": null } }, "external-dial-plan": { "digitMaps": { "00": "international", "0": "44-national", "112|911|999": null } } } }
3.We reboot the Netrix so they download the new dial plan, and the turret will automatically dial after the following digits have been entered; •+441932770000 •900441932770000 •901932770000 •2000 Configuring multiple dial plansBy default, all Netrix will use the "default-dial-plan" macro. If you have a configuration where there are Netrix in multiple countries, you can use the turret boot setting "netrix.settings.dialplan" (default value "default-dial-plan") to specify a different dial plan for a zone. For example, if your default dial plan is for the UK but you also have a US office, add new macro(s) to site-dialplan.json for the US;
{ "macros": { "default-dial-plan": { "digitMaps": { "+": "international", "9": "external-dial-plan", "2xxx": null } }, "external-dial-plan": { "digitMaps": { "00": "international", "0": "44-national", "112|911|999": null } }, "us-dial-plan": { "digitMaps": { "+": "international", "9": "us-external-dial-plan", "2xxx": null } }, "us-external-dial-plan": { "digitMaps": { "011": "international", "1": "1-national", "911": null } } } }
and set netrix.settings.dialplan = us-dial-plan for the zone that is in the US and requires the US dial plan. |
