Emergency number (Enhanced 911 or E911) is a location technology advanced by the FCC that enables mobile, or cellular, phones to process emergency calls and enable emergency services to locate the geographic position of the caller.

The IPTrade system allows integrating with emergency number for calls that would be placed on the telephony devices.

The system allows anyone to call emergency services when needed, no matter if a user is authenticated on the device or not.

When placing an emergency call, the system automatically uses the most appropriate telephony line available on the turret, for localization purposes (so that the PBX/emergency service is able locate the geographical position of the caller). For instance, it will try to use one of the following lines (in this priority order):

1.A primary or secondary line configured on the turret itself

2.A shared line configured on the turret itself

3.Any other line.
