Text messaging

The text messaging feature enables operators to exchange text messages (SMS) with outside parties from their console.

It includes the following capabilities :

•Alert the operator when new text messages are available ; The system allows checking multiple lines (long numbers) for inbound messages ;

•Show text messages (inbound/outbound) received or sent by the operator, and identify the line on which a message was received ;

•Compose a new message or reply to a message, allowing the operator to choose through which line to send it ;

•Send a text message to multiple recipients at once ;

•Check the delivery status of an outbound message sent by the operator, including the delivery status to each individual recipient of a message sent to multiple recipients at once ;

•Allow multiple operators to monitor several lines (each line being monitored by a single operator at a given time); Each operator is able to view who is currently monitoring each line, choose to start monitoring any free line (a line that is not currently monitored by someone else) and stop monitoring a line. All of these actions can be performed without the need to sign out / sign in from the system ;
