Logging Configuration

This section allows direct editing of the logger.conf file.

The logger.conf file controls Asterisk’s logging system.

It defines which log channels (such as console, messages, security, or custom-defined categories) are enabled and where their output is written

(e.g., to log files in /var/log/asterisk/ or directly to the console).

It is used to:

•Specify log levels (e.g., error, warning, notice, debug).

•Direct logs to different files for easier analysis.

•Enable or disable specific logging facilities, for example sending logs to Syslog facilities.
