Collecting the logs using the TSS consoleIf the Netrix is connected to the TSS, then the logs can be downloaded via the TSS console; 1.Log in to the TSS console. 2.Navigate to System > Sessions > Device Sessions. 3.In the device list, click on the camera icon next to the Netrix to collect the logs. 4.Navigate to System > Monitoring > Debug Information Dumps. 5.After approximately 1 minute (you may need to click on Refresh), the logs will appear in the list of available Debug Information Dumps from where they can be downloaded to your PC. Collecting the logs by SSH'ing to the turretIf the Netrix hasn't established a device session with the TSS (the light on the device sessions is not green) but there is network connectivity, it is possible to manually collect the logs by SSH'ing to the turret; 1.Using your favourite SSH client (for example Putty) SSH to the turret 2.Run the following command
/opt/apps/scripts/collect-logs.sh
3.After a while, the screen will show "File written to /dev/shm/xxxxxxxxxx_logs.tar.gz" where xxxxxxxxxx is the turrets serial number. 4.Using an SCP client (for example WinSCP) copy /dev/shm/xxxxxxxxxx_logs.tar.gz off the turret to your PC. Initiate collecting the logs from the Platform MenuIf the Netrix has lost network connectivity it is still possible to obtain the logs; 1.On the Netrix, press the "menu" key, and enter the Platform Menu. 2.Press the "log" key, to start collecting the logs. 3.After approximately 1 minute you will be prompted to press the "menu" key again to return to the Platform Menu 4.If the turret was able to communicate with the TSS it will upload the logs to the TSS, otherwise, it will upload the logs the next time the turret is rebooted and network connectivity has been re-established. 5.Log in to the TSS console. 6.Navigate to System > Monitoring > Debug Information Dumps and download the log to your PC. |
