Collecting a Crash Report

Solution Installation > Netrix Installation > Troubleshooting

If  Netrix crashes or believes it is about to crash due to lack of memory/disk space or high CPU usage, the watchdog process will generate a report file that contains information needed by the developers to investigate the crash. The report file is persisted, and can be collected once the turret is rebooted.

Obtaining the Report File from Netrix

1.On your PC run WinSCP and logon to the turret as root

2.On the turret navigate to /opt/data

3.Transfer the file named <serial-number>Report.tar.gz onto your PC.

4.Attach the <serial-number>Report.tar.gz along with any other logs and network captures to the support ticket / Jira

Since the Report File is persisted in /opt/data you should check the time stamp of the file to ensure it was generated when the last crash was observed, and not for a previous and unrelated crash.
