Asterisk built-in HTTP Server Configuration

This section allows direct editing of the “http.conf” file, which is used for configuring the Asterisk built-in HTTP server.

The http.conf file controls the built-in HTTP server in Asterisk. It is used to enable and configure HTTP/HTTPS access to Asterisk services, including defining bind addresses, ports, and SSL/TLS settings.

Note: This is separate from (and not to be confused with) the web server hosing the main Web UI.

A common use case is exposing the Asterisk Manager Interface (AMI) over HTTP, which allows integration with external systems.
For example, Zabbix can monitor Asterisk by using its “Asterisk by HTTP” template, which relies on this configuration.
